It’s Thursday!! And that means it’s time to show some love to an amazing book cover! This week’s featured beautiful gem of a cover is The Grimm Legacy by Polly Shulman.IMG_0550

Ironically, I did not like this book but I absolutely love its cover. It’s got all of those whimsical notes that you’d expect from a book with this sort of title and there’s just something sort of magical about it. I’m pretty fond of books with globes of some sort encircling some important feature of a book, though, so I imagine that has a lot to do with my love for this cover.

I think it’s pretty eye catching, which is important for a book and while I’m not overly fond of the orange-ish font color for the title, I really just enjoy looking at this cover. It’s the sort of book I’d feel bad taking from my shelf because it just helps make it look so nice. I’m just in love with the magical feeling that I get from looking at it. Especially in the way the smoke comes up directly underneath and behind the title. It’s beautiful.

It saddens me, in the end, that I didn’t like this book. It’s got one of those covers that just made me really want to love it. Still, my dislike of the book wont stop me from appreciating the artwork of its cover, so at least that’s a plus!

What do you guys think? What’s your favorite part of this cover? Your least favorite? Let me know in the comments! Happy reading!
