“Dreams are like that: they go in and out of memories and scenes, but they’re never real. They’re never real and I hate them because they aren’t.”
-Across the Universe
Beth Revis

I don’t post quotes exceptionally often, mainly because there isn’t a whole lot to say after the quote itself. But I think it’s always a wonderful thing to appreciate book quotes for not only what they bring to the story, but also what they say about writing  and the world in general.

I found this one particularly interesting, back when I read this book some years ago. I think it highlights something important about the literal sense of dreaming, but also the ways in which people can become disheartened about their own personal dreams for what they wish in life. And I think, in its own way, this quote can sort of serve as inspiration to make dreams, at least as much as one can, as real as possible.

What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!

As always, I wish you all a happy reading!
