A900A686-128E-4872-AB88-3AAC6AA8E046I never did review Haroun and the Sea of Stories by Salman Rushdie, but I really wish I had. This book is such a wonderful and beautifully whimsical story and I truly feel that it deserves to be shared with everyone. It’s impressively clever and witty, with just the right amount of ridiculous and sarcastic humor. I loved every second of reading this book.

This is one of the few books that my boyfriend recommended to me and of those three, I really liked this one the best. There’s just something amazing about the way Rushdie takes a world of understanding and builds his own fascinating place from them. If you haven’t had a chance to read this one, I would definitely suggest getting yourself a copy as soon as possible!

What’s a book you read in 2013? Let me know in the comments or write your own throwback post for it!

Happy reading!
