It’s Friday and I have yet another gorgeous cover to share with you all and no cover artist to thank for it. I do always try my best to find the name of the talent who has provided the cover art for a book before posting, and I have to admit that I’m growing rather weary of the fact that so many of these books rarely have the mention of an artist. It’s not something I realized until recently as I tried again and again to find some sort of clue as to the people creating these beautiful works of art that we are fortunate enough to be able to look at as we read such wonderful books.
It really is in need of some change.
Today’s fantastic book is Nightbooks by J.A. White. Now, the cover looks pretty unassuming at first, fairly simple, but after looking at it for a moment one is able to truly see and appreciate certain pieces that just have a way of capturing your attention and emotions. I dunno about any of you, but seeing a library on a book cover is one of the most amazing things in the world and immediately has me captivated. I love that this is seen as though we are peeking through a keyhole more than anything, but I’m also quite fond of the spiraling library and the cat sitting up on a shelf in the corner. It’s definitely the sort of cover that makes me immediately want the book.
