img_8083Hello gorgeous cover of book that I only managed to find thanks to Twitter. Dragon Daughter by Liz Flanagan is a book that I probably never would have stumbled upon had it not been for the fact that I was on Twitter at the presisely perfect moment to see the author posting about it. There are these little moments of wonder that I deeply appreciate as there are just so many books out there and far too many that we all seem to miss simply because it wasn’t very popular for one reason or another. Oftentimes, I think this has to do with marketing. Those little known books that are amazing deserve and need the shoutouts.

Now, I’ll be frank. I have no idea if this is an amazing book. I’ve not read it and despite my finding the description quite intriguing—a young girl protecting the last four dragon eggs—and wonderfully reminiscent of my all time favorite book as a child, Eragon, but with a female main character instead, I can’t really vouch for that piece of this particular book just yet (give me a few months and you’ll have my opinion, though). What I can vouch for is the fact that this cover is beautiful.

I just can’t get over how captivating that dragon is or how amazing the placement of the main character is. It’s oddly reminiscent of Game of Thrones, in a way, which truthfully only makes me more enticed about the whole thing. But I dunno, you tell me. What do you think of this cover?

And just as a side note, maybe go and give this book a chance. It was published on October 4th and only has six ratings and four reviews. Whether the book is good or bad, it has a fantastic cover and definitely deserves a few more reviews than that, don’t you think?

Happy reading, everyone! And happy cover love Friday!
