the dark descent of elizabeth frankensteinHello everyone and welcome again to another blogger support feature where this week I’ll be featuring a review from a fantastic book blogger, Andrea @ Dreams in Bookland. Andrea’s blog began largely due to the fact that, despite having friends who read, they didn’t exactly share her preferences for what would make an amazing novel. So, naturally the best place to turn to in search of like minded readers was the internet. A cool thing about Andrea’s blog is that her reviews are written in Spanish. Now, don’t let that deter you if you’ve not learned how to read or speak the language. The internet, after all, is an amazing thing and translating Andrea’s reviews takes nothing more than the quick click of a button at the top of the page. And, honestly, I think it’s also a great opportunity to spend some time getting to know another language if you haven’t already. Especially since Andrea’s reviews are fantastic and definitely worth spending some of your time reading.

A five star read for Andrea, I’ve decided to feature her review for a book I’ve been meaning to read for quite some time now. The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White is already a novel that I think sounds utterly fascinating and I was thrilled to see how much Andrea enjoyed it. It was also wonderful to read several pieces of her review about the characters involved within the story. I’ve quoted her review twice below, first in the language that the review is originally posted and then translated for those of you who may not be able to read Spanish.

“…me gustó mucho la manera en que Kiersten dio vida a Elizabeth, una mujer fuerte que lucha por lo que cree, nunca la hizo débil pero tampoco perfecta, un personaje realista que tiene errores y debe salir adelante con ellos…”

“…I really liked the way Kiersten gave life to Elizabeth, a strong woman who fights for what she believes, never made her weak but not perfect, a realistic character who has mistakes and must get ahead with them…”

Please do take some time out of your day to check out Andrea’s blog. She’s done a wonderful job with it and I imagine she would deeply appreciate finding like minded people who enjoy reading the same books as she does. She definitely deserves your support.
