dylanHave you ever noticed that getting on youtube for any amount of time almost always turns into watching hours and hours worth of videos and it just never seems to stop? I don’t do it incredibly often, but every once in a while I find myself stumbling across a youtuber who somehow manages to get me watching a crazy ton of their videos. And thus this is why I tend to avoid youtube quite often. I just don’t have the time for this.

Last time the youtuber was Alex Meyers, who’s take on You just sent me down a rather large hole watching the rest of his rather extensive collection of videos. I swear, I wasted an entire day on it. I definitely was in a puddle of regret later when I realized how much time I’d spent. But still, kudos to the fact that he had me engaged for that long.

And what I’m noticing is that there’s a kind of trend with these guys because the latest person to pull me into a massive video watching spree is Dylan is in Trouble. basically, the gist of this youtube channel is that he watches a bunch of different movies and records himself doing it. Now, you’d think for the most part that this wouldn’t really turn out to be all that interesting, but damn if this guy doesn’t have some absolutely hilarious commentary throughout the whole thing.

I have to say that I appreciate it. I don’t have a lot of opportunities to laugh in my life–sad, I know–and having these videos for that has truly been an amazing end to my week. And so, if you’re looking for a laugh I would definitely suggest checking out his videos.

  1. I’ve been watching Dylan for a bit now, and it’s great to see him getting some more views! Like you said, movie commentaries don’t sound too interesting, but they make for some great entertainment, even if they’re more fun like Dylan or more of an in depth analysis!

  2. Hahaha that is exactly what happened to me the first time I saw Alex Meyers on Youtube. I think it was his Twilight video that hooked me in and then I was subscribed ever since. As for Dylan, I think I just discovered him last week through YT’s recommendation. And yes, it was the long Twilight video of his that I watched while cooking. It’s nice to watch something funny on the weekends.

  3. I don’t, but my kids could spend days just sitting and watching YouTube videos. It is one of those areas that my kids are really into that just makes me feel old.
