I have a copy of this book that I requested from NetGalley, so Just for Clicks by Kara McDowell is definitely on my TBR. With so many amazing books on my list, it’s just taken me some time to get to it. And, as NetGalley always has a bunch of amazing titles to request I’ve kind of requested far too many and ended up with a pile of books that I haven’t gotten to and should definitely work on reading sooner. As far as Just for Clicks goes, it wasn’t on my immediate radar until just now as I’m writing this post. Of course, this post is scheduled for February and I’m writing it in January, so there’s a possibility that I’ll have read and reviewed this book before this post even goes live. But, I wouldn’t hold my breath or place any bets on that. You never know.
Just for Clicks features twin girls who have grown up with the world cooing and ahhing over their baby and toddler photos as their mother went viral early on in their life by showing them off to the internet. And so the two girls grow up in a world where they basically become their own brand, choosing their clothes and actions while always thinking about how this will affect their social media fame.
What are your thoughts on this book? Is it one you think you’d be interested in reading? Are you disgusted by the whole social media thing altogether? Let me know in the comments!
