I have been waiting for The Similars by Rebecca Hanover for ages. I’m certain that this is going to be one of those books that is just downright amazing and it’s been on my TBR for a long while and I can’t wait to read it. Though I did not add it recently, it is still a 2019 release and therefore manages to find its way onto this list. Of the many books being released this year, I’m exceptionally glad for this one and I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy.
I definitely considered requesting this one on Edelweiss, of course, but I never seemed to get around to it. Perhaps, as this current post is scheduled, that will have changed by the time that this actually gets posted. I’m sure you’ll all maybe have heard about it by that point.
Telling the tale of a young woman whose best friend has recently died, The Similars really catches your attention once you learn that clones of people are showing up around the school. Relationships change and develop, a mystery filled with intrigue and darkness haunts this story. Had this book simply been focused solely on the relationship aspect, I imagine I wouldn’t be half as excited to read it. But there’s something incredibly fascinating about the mystery behind the DNA replicas. And I can’t wait to find out what it is.
So, what about the rest of you? Is this book on your TBR? Have you already read an ARC? Is it a good one? Bad? Let me know in the comments!
