And I’m finally rounding down the February portion of YA releases on my TBR! It’s been a bit of a long trek, with far too many posts missing their dates and me just struggling to catch up. This post was ironically supposed to be up eight days ago, but alas I am me and I unfortunately am a fail at most posts. But I’m working on it and hopefully I’ll get through them all before the year is up!
First on the final portion of February’s releases is Daughter of the Siren Queen by Tricia Levenseller which has been on my TBR from the moment I first learned about it. This is another one of those sequels that I plan to read because I’m still planning to read the first book but just haven’t gotten to it yet. I’m so behind in all the books I want to read and I never seem to be able to keep up. I imagine it will be this way for the rest of my life, but eventually I’ll get to this one.
I Stop Somewhere by T. E. Carter just sounds fascinatingly dark. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those books that just breaks my heart and leaves me wrecked emotionally, but I am honestly so crazy excited to read it. One of those chance encounter books that I likely wouldn’t have noticed without reading the summary, I Stop Somewhere sounds so good.
I actually have an ARC of Tess of the Road by Rachel Hartman floating around my room somewhere that I’m still meaning to read. It just always seems to slip my mind and I have so many other ARCs that I’ve been reading and that are on my list that I, again, can never seem to catch up. And since I won this one in a giveaway, the ones where I’ve actually promised reviews are taking priority, but Tess of the Road looks so amazing. I’m so glad I have a copy.
Cadaver and Queen by Alisa Kwitney is not the sort of book I would ever read regularly. I don’t like dead things and I certainly don’t care for books about dead things. And yet this Frankenstein retelling sounds downright amazing. I have a feeling this book is going to be one of those wonders that I love even in spite of something I generally dislike.
And that’s all for February! Stay tuned for the releases of March!
Happy reading, everyone!
